I get many letters saying, "I am desperate in my life, I am tired with my life… I am going to commit suicide such and such day…" Well, I want to tell you that suicide is not the answer. If you commit suicide you will lose your soul forever because the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:17, "If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is sacred, and you are that temple."

We read in Exodus 20:13 "You shall not murder (kill)." When you commit suicide, you kill yourself and disobey one of the Ten Commandments of God. And the Bible says that whoever destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him… it means eternal death… you have no authority to take your life. Many times we talk about love, love, love but very often forget that God is a judging God too. Many people think, God will never destroy His creation, but no matter what you do, He will take everybody to heaven… what a deception?

But if you give your life to Jesus, He will change your life completely and give you peace that passeth all understanding. In the midst of problems, in the midst of tears, in the midst of sorrow you will enjoy His peace and unspeakable joy. Accept this wonderful life today.

Visitation of God

By Sherly Isaac

"And Joseph said to his brethren, "I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob." (Genesis 50:24)

Joseph said to his brothers, "God will surely visit you." Today we are going to see what happens, when God visits a person’s life?

If we see the life of Moses, we can see that he was an ordinary man. Once he was asked this question in Exodus 2:14, "Who made you a prince and a judge over us?" But something happened in Exodus 3:2-4, "And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed." Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn." So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am."

Here we see how Moses met with Almighty God, and how only one visitation of God changed his whole life. He turned to supernatural from a natural and became a leader and prince from nothing. Yes, my friend, when God visits a person, He makes him/her a different person. He turns his/her ordinary status to a supernatural status. He exalts those ordinary persons when He visits. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:5 -6, "even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."

He can do the same thing for you. Did God visit you yet? If not, ask Him to come into your life and you will never be the same again.

Second thing we see, God said to Moses in Exodus 3:6-8, "I am the God of your father; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. And the LORD said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey."

When God visits a person’s life or community, He delivers them from all their oppressions, He wipes away all their tears, He takes away all their sorrows. He takes them to a land full of His blessing.

My dear friend, Jesus wants to do the same thing in your life, ask Him to visit in your life.

Third thing we see, He fulfills His promises when He visits in the life of a person. God gave the promise to Israelites that He will visit them and bring them out of this land as the Bible says in Genesis 50:24, And Joseph said to his brethren, "I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob."

And this promise was fulfilled after 430 long years. Many people might have thought that it will never come to pass, but God is faithful. He fulfilled His promise as the Bible says in Exodus 12:40-41, "Now the sojourn of the children of Israel who lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years. And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years; on that very same day; it came to pass that all the armies of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt."

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

The rebellious generation

By Vinod Isaac

Ezekiel 2:3-7 "And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day. 4. "For they are impudent and stubborn children. I am sending you to them, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD.' 5. "As for them, whether they hear or whether they refuse; for they are a rebellious house; yet they will know that a prophet has been among them. 6. "And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house. 7."You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious."

According to historical calculations Ezekiel the prophet started his ministry in July, 593 B.C and In Ezekiel 2:3 God describes the people of that time as rebellious people. Now if we look at the time of Ezekiel we find that it was after the time of prophet Jeremiah.

God spoke through Jeremiah the prophet but people did not listen. They did what they wanted to do and indeed they faced the consequences. And now God is preparing Ezekiel to reach out the rebellious generation. Many times I wonder God being the Almighty, having all power, can He not just destroy every violator of His law? Yes he can do it but only thing that let this world go on is His grace and His love. So can we go on behaving in the same manner and refuse to listen to God? No not at all.

In Ezekiel 3:17 God says to Ezekiel, "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:"

When I was watching the incident that happened in Littleton Colorado, it was said again and again "ignored warning signs". Yes Ezekiel was a watchman and a person who gave warning to the people of Israel but they ignored those warning signs. How many times we also ignore the warning signs given by God? How many times we do not want to hear any thing about God?

Now let's see what God declares against the people of Israel through Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 5:5-9 says

5. "Thus says the Lord GOD: 'This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the midst of the nations and the countries all around her. 6 'She has rebelled against My judgments by doing wickedness more than the nations, and against My statutes more than the countries that are all around her; for they have refused My judgments, and they have not walked in My statutes.' 7 "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Because you have multiplied disobedience more than the nations that are all around you, have not walked in My statutes nor kept My judgments, nor even done according to the judgments of the nations that are all around you'; 8 "therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Indeed I, even I, am against you and will execute judgments in your midst in the sight of the nations.9 'And I will do among you what I have never done, and the like of which I will never do again, because of all your abominations."

And continuing God speaks out what he is going to do to this rebellious people. Many times people think that because God is gracious we can do what ever we want, we can go according to our own ways because after all God is gracious. But Bible declares in Proverbs 14:12 and 16:25 that "There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death."

Are you moving on the path of death? Are you walking thinking that what you think is correct? Beware there is a way that seems right to a man but at the end it is the way of death. You need to find out where you are going.

Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Let me ask you this question. Is Jesus your way? Have you made Jesus your way? If not it is time to give your life in the safe hands of Jesus and let Him become your way.

Jesus is calling you to turn from your evil ways toward Him. He said in Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Psalms 95:8 says "Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness"
Hebrew 3:15 while it is said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."

Will you harden your heart when you hear the voice of God knocking in your heart, the way the rebellious people did in the wilderness and in the days of Ezekiel, or will you turn to Jesus and ask forgiveness from Him and decide walk in to His paths. Decision is yours.

May God Bless you.
