The Bible says in Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
As the above verse says, Jesus is the good counselor, but how many times we fail to take counsel from Him. Instead, we prefer to take counsel of man. The Bible says in Psalms 106:13, "They soon forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel." Yes, many times we forget the blessings of God, we have received from Him and stop asking His counsel for our lives. Not only that when we ask for the counsel of man the advice we get may be good at times or may be bad. You can not predict which advice will be right or which wrong.
Long back we were living in a small town of India and there was a family. The lady of that house looked weary and tired always. Finally my mother asked what the reason is? She said, "my husband is a patient of seizures, we used to sit and talk very happily and suddenly fits come and he collapses. Almost every week this happens. No one told me before marriage that this man had this problem. Oh, if someone had told me this, my life would not have been this much miserable today." Yes, we all long for right guidance but right direction can come from God alone. Only God can lead you in the right path. There is no one who can tell you what is going to happen in the next moment, next day, next month or next year... but only God and God alone, who knows every thing and searches every heart.
Today, why many homes are broken? Because they never tried to ask God's counsel for their lives. Once a young lady came for prayer and said, "I got married six months back, my husband is a drunkard and abusive. When my parents inquired about him everyone said that he is a nice man. But I do not see any thing nice in him. No one told us that this man is a drunkard and abusive." If you inquire to man, only these things will happen because man sees from outside but God sees the heart of a man. I always remember one of my friends. She once came to my house and very happily said, "I am going to get married..." That's the last time I saw her happy. After marriage she realized that her husband is a hard-core drunkard and it not only snatched her smile from her face but also shattered her dream of a happy home.
Are you in this situation today? Have you lost your smile because of wrong counsel or because of medical report? Look to Jesus. He can still do a miracle in your life. Kathryn Kuhlman once said, "as long as my God is in His throne and as long as He can answer prayers, every thing will be going to be all right." No matter what your situation today is, my Jesus can help you and make everything right. And He will give your smile back on your face.

Life is like a sentence
It goes on as the words grow more and more
Some times with black as we face darkness in our lives
Some times with red as a stop sign to think
About the blood of Christ which was shed for us
And can erase our sins, guilt and mistakes
Some times with green as a green pasture
Where He feeds us and makes us satisfied
Life is like a sentence
It goes on as the words grow more and more
Some times with comma as we face some hurdles in our lives
Some times with semicolons, some times with colons
Some times with acclamation mark to leave you astonished
But oh... but ever thought about full stop?
One day your life has to come to a full stop
One day your life will end like a sentence
But your story will never end
You will live forever and forever
Either in heaven or hell....
Where will you be think today
And make sure before the sentence of your life ends...
