Recently USA and Russia signed a disarmament treaty to reduce 30% of the nuclear weapons in seven years. But no one is sure whether we would be free from deadly weapons ever. But those who have read the Bible and heard the messages of Jesus' return might know that all these things are setting the stage for antichrist to come peaceably. (Dan. 11:24)
Bible tells us that in the last days antichrist will rule in this world. Though he will be entering peaceably, there would be much chaos and troubles in this world. And there would be a time when people would be executed if they do not obey the antichrist or refuse to take the mark of the beast.
When we look at the things unfolding in this world today, all those indicate that the return of Jesus Christ is very near. Once the disciples became very curious and asked Him, “When will all these things take place?” Jesus replied in Mat 24:36-44, "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."
Many have tried to study the scriptures and tried to find out the exact time of Jesus' return but they have all failed. We may never know when Jesus will return, but we know that those who are ready will go with Him. Are we ready to meet Him?
There is another incident which Bible describes as rapture. Mat 24:31, "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
Paul also says in 1Cor 15:51-52, "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
Again we just don't know when all these things will happen. But the only thing that we can do is to be prepared and vigilant. And those who are in Christ Jesus will have no fear of the events because they know that whatever may happen, their lives are in the hands of Jesus. If you have not yet given your life to Jesus, this is the time to give your life to Him. It is a first step to go with Him.
God's Protection - Part 2

Bible talks about a God who wants to protect us from all evil. In the Bible we read many stories about how God protected His children miraculously from the hands of evil and from the wicked people.
I remember once a family lived in our neighborhood. They were great and very friendly. One day my mom saw a dream that the lady of that house gave five pieces of a sweet called puranpoli/boli. My mom took it in her hands and looked at it and then thought, "it looks different and does not look like that particular sweet." Then she looked again and she felt as if it was looking like cloves of garlic. In her dream itself as soon as she ate it she heard a voice saying, "witchcraft". That day evening the said neighboring lady came and gave five pieces of the same sweet. But my mom forgot about her dream and gave it to all of us and we all ate it. When we all ate it, she remembered her dream and she said, it looked exactly the same as in the dream.
Next day we had to go for a conference for three four days in a different city. We all left for the conference. When we returned back home the said woman told us, "I thought you may not return back." It seemed so strange because I can't imagine if somebody can speak like that. We had taken the sweet, over which witchcraft had been done. But we escaped unhurt.
God protected us and brought us back home safely. This was not the only incident but over the years God showed us things to come and did many mighty miracles in our lives and delivered us from evil hands.
If you are a child of God, He promised to protect us from the snares of the fowler. Psalms 91:3, "Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from perilous pestilence."
Why? Psalmist answers this question in Psalms 91:9-10, "Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;"
If you have known the Lord as your father, He will protect you as a father protects his children. If you are not yet His child, come to Him and give your life to Jesus. His protection is available for you.
