When I woke up two-three days back and watched the news, I could not believe that all the flights in UK had been grounded. The reason was the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland! Just in one day it affected almost the entire air traffic of Europe. It is completely amazing and I never thought that it can happen. According to experts, it causes the engine to fail.
In our spiritual lives, black cloud of sin causes our lives to be paralyzed. Bible tells us about the first humans on the planet earth that they were happy and blessed until sin came in their lives. One day the dark cloud of sin entered the Garden of Eden. As soon as Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they lost everything. They lost the goodness and blessings of God. They lost their joy, peace and happiness. Not only that, they were also sent out of the Garden of Eden by God Himself. Now they had to work hard for their living. They had to go through tough times, hardships, pain and sorrow. Just because they did not obey God, all these things had happened in their lives and the same corrupted nature is being transferred from generation to generation sending masses to hell fire.
Even today we see so much chaos, turmoil and all kinds of
terrible things in this world because of sin. But I have the Good News that Jesus came in this world to die on our behalf so that our sins could be removed from our lives. He took all our sins, sufferings and pain on the cruel cross and died on our behalf so that we could be restored to the same state that Adam and Eve had in the beginning.
Jesus said in Mat 26:28, "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Today we can receive the remission of our sins because of the great sacrifice of Jesus on the cruel cross. He shed His precious blood for you and for me so that we could have eternal life. John 3:15 says that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
God wants to save us from eternal damnation and destruction. If you confess your sins and turn to Jesus, He is ready to give you eternal life.
If you want this eternal life, please pray this prayer with me:
Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. Please forgive and forget all my sins and wash me with your precious blood. Today, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I promise to walk with you and live for your glory. Thank you Jesus for forgiving my sins and accepting me as your child. Thank you Lord. I give you all the glory. I pray in Jesus name, amen.
God's Protection - Part 3

God is interested in protecting His children. Bible has many stories how God protected His children form all kinds of dangers and destructions. This protection has been promised for those who walk in the ways of God.
My mom always tells us how God protected her and her family members from burglary and theft. She tells us that thieves often used to burglarize her neighborhood homes, but none ever entered their home because of the prayer of my gradma. Whenever my dad was not in home, she would tell us to pray to Jesus and ask for His protection in our lives. And we saw the protection of God in our home.
Once my dad went on his official duty. In those days there were no cell phone or internet to intimate the time by which he will be reaching home. Whenever my dad went in those tours, my mom would bring her sewing or craft projects to remain awake till my dad returned. One night she said that she is not able to stay awake and so she asked my brother and I also to sit with her without sleeping. But we both could not stay awake for long time and we slept. Somewhere about midnight she also went to sleep.
Probably at 3 O'clock in the morning, she felt as if someone rang the bell. She woke up hurriedly, crossed the big covered veranda to come to the front door. There was a small room to be crossed to reach the front door. She opened the lock of the door of that small room and suddenly it crossed in her mind a thought whether she really heard the door bell ringing? She felt in her heart, not to open the front door. She stood behind the second door for some time trying to listen to the sound of the bell or a knock at the door. She could not dare to come to the front door to look outside whether someone was there are not. When she heard no bell ringing the second time, she returned to her bedroom. She tried to sit on her bed and waited for another bell, but there was nothing as dad had not come at that time.
Even in the morning while telling her story, she was shaken. She said, I had almost opened the door but it was God who stopped me.
There is a God who guides our steps. In those moments, in those times, in those circumstances that are completely unpredictable and unknown to us and when we step in it, it blows our minds but if God is with us, He can help us before we get into trouble. That is the goodness of God. This is the love of God for His children. He wants to bring that protection in your lives and in your homes too. If you just invite Him in your lives.
