This week is when Father's day is being celebrated. Bible talks about a God who wants to become our father. In the Old Testament we read that He is the same God who carried the Israelites through the wilderness just as a father carries his children. We read in Deu 1:31, "and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.'"
This is the same God who loved human beings so much that He came down in the form of a man to die for us so that our sins could be blotted out. He could not see His creation dying and going to hell. When Adam and Eve sinned against God and when they disobeyed God, they lost their relationship with God. Though they were physically alive they were spiritually dead and from that condition of theirs, there was no other way to restore them to their original condition except by the pure and blameless shed blood of the Lamb of God.
When Jesus came in this world and when John the Baptist saw Him, he said, "the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." We read in John 1:29, "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"
This is the same God who humbled Himself, went to the cross and gave His precious life for the dying humanity, just to see that the broken relationship between the heavenly Father and His fallen children to be restored. For this very purpose, Jesus came into this world and to as many as received Him, He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believed in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:12-13).
The moment a person invites Jesus in his/her life, Jesus gives the right to become him/her as His child. Rev 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
You can see how simple it is to become a child of the King of kings and Lord of lords, the creator Himself. Just by inviting Him into your life you can become a child of the Most High God. It is far greater than taking birth in a wealthy home.
The day you will become a child of God, all your past sins would be forgiven and you will receive a brand new life according to 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
What a privilege to be a child of the almighty God. What a privilege to be born in the home of the almighty God. What a privilege to call God as our own Father.
In this Father's Day would you like to make God your Father? If your answer is yes, please pray this prayer with me: Lord Jesus I would like to become a child of God. I invite you into my life. Please come into my life and wash me with your precious blood and forgive and forget all my sins. Thank you Jesus for giving me the right to become a child of God and thank you Lord for giving me eternal life. I give you all the glory. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Prosperity - God's Perfect Will - Part 2

Most of the people think that prosperity is not in the will of God and that if a person is serving God, he/she should be living in low profile. But Bible tells us that God wants us to be successful and blessed in every area of our lives. God said to Joshua in Joshua 1:7, "Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go."
Prosperity does not mean wealth alone but it means overall success, peace of mind and blessings.
I was born and raised up in a very wealthy family. We had everything in our lives but there was no peace. The dining table which should be a place for sharing our joy, often turned out to be a place of big battles. There was such a horrible feeling to live through the same thing day after day. Not only that, but most of the money was spent in doctor's fees and hospital expenses. If there was a seasonal fever in the town, it would be in our home too. The bottom line was that there was no peace and there was no joy. We could not really enjoy the wealth we had.
Meanwhile I got sick with excruciating leg pain. Doctors could not help me but they could only identify my sickness as sciatic nerve problem. At times I could hardly walk. It added more misery in our miserable lives.
But one day I was listening to a radio program in which the message was like this, "If you want peace in your life, you must confess your sins and accept Jesus in your heart as your personal Lord and Savior and turn to Christ. Further one day when you leave this world you will have to go to hell." Those words penetrated in my heart deeply. I knelt down and cried to Lord Jesus Christ and pleaded to forgive my sins and to wash me with the precious blood of Jesus and I invited Jesus to come into my heart. A great peace and joy filled into my heart. Though my circumstances did not change immediately yet I felt something different. Never in my life had I experienced this happiness and this joy and I did not know from where this happiness was coming! Later I understood that it was Jesus who had come into my heart and that was the reason why I was so happy.
At that time we were living in a small place where there was no church. So if any preacher or pastor came and asked for conducting a meeting in our home, my parents would allow them. In those days a few young seminary students came and asked to conduct some meetings in our home. My parents again allowed them with some strict rules.
In one of those meetings my mom got saved and she said, "it was like all my sins were shown on TV screen before my eyes." Slowly one by one the other members also got saved. Not only did our lives started to change but also the atmosphere of our house. Where there was no peace, great peace and joy filled our home.
In those days my dad was very sick with arthritis and doctors gave up hope on him. One day I was listening to a Christian radio program. But it was not tuned in correctly. So I was trying to tune in correctly but the knob moved and switched to another station. In that station Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran was telling his testimony how he was dejected with his life and while on the way to a railway track to commit suicide, his uncle shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with him. He returned to his home and cried out to Jesus and his life dramatically changed and he was healed of his sickness. At the end of the program, he said that, "if you need healing, write to me and I will pray for you and God will heal your sicknesses."
For me it was very difficult to believe and I thought, "healing..? it does not happen any more....!" But my mom who was also listening, wrote a letter to him asking for prayers for my dad. Miracle of miracles, before we could get any reply my dad's condition started to improve. Within weeks he was healed.
When it happened we were completely amazed and astonished. A great curiosity filled in our hearts to know this amazing God who did this mighty miracle in our dad's life. So we started to read every piece of mail, magazine and literatures that came from Jesus Calls ministry . We started to listen to the tapes of Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran.
And we heard the healing and saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. We realized that Jesus is no ordinary name but His name is above all other names. We realized that God wanted to fill His children with His goodness, healing, peace, joy, money and what not. And that's what He did when we called His name.
Our lives turned around and it was never again a miserable life. Our sicknesses left us and healing and health came in our lives. Our failures turned into success. More than that Jesus gave eternal life to us.
My friend, Jesus can do the same for you. He can change your life forever. He can fill you with great peace and joy that world cannot give. If you just come to Him and ask Him in your heart.
