Genesis 5:22-24, "...Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him."
Here, Bible talks about a man named Enoch who had lived for 365 years and within his life of 365 years he walked with God for 300 years. We also read about the life of Enoch in New Testament. (Hebrews 11:5), "By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, and was not found, because God had taken him; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God."
Enoch was born in a chaotic world, fallen in sin. He was seventh in line from Adam and he saw his parents as well as grandparents in such pathetic mess that sin had brought about in their lives. When Noah was born to Lamech, the grandson of Enoch, Lamech said in Gen 5:29, "And he called his name Noah, saying, 'This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed.'"
Not many years after the birth of Noah, God took a decision to destroy His creation because He could no longer tolerate the sins of the world. But look at the lives of Enoch and Noah. Though they lived in that wicked world, they could walk in the ways of God and live a righteous life. They were living in the wicked generation where all kinds of sins were prevalent and the world was in chaos. But both Enoch and Noah took the high road of righteousness and did not walk in the ways of those who were in their generation. Both of them pleased God by their lives.
Often people say that, "it is not possible to live a holy life" or they say that, "we are doing just the things which all else are doing and nothing wrong in it"... but watch out! All those who lived in sin in that generation were destroyed. Only Noah and his family were saved from that great flood which washed away the whole world.
Even today God wants us to live in His holy ways so that we could escape the wrath of God and enter into His kingdom. We just do not know when our lives will end but Bible tells us that after death there awaits a judgment as we read in Hebrews 9:27, "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment."
But Jesus said in John 5:24, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."
We can get forgiveness of our sins through the shed blood of Jesus and can escape judgment and eternal death by believing in Him. For this very reason Jesus came in this world to die for us so that our sins could be forgiven.
If you repent from your sins and turn to Jesus, He will give you eternal life and you will not have to go through punishment for your sins.

God prospers the lives of His Children. He turns the failures of His children into success for those who have accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior according to John 1:12-13, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
I remember how God started to bless us when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He started to turn our failures into success and turned our tears into joy.
I was not good in my studies and despite all my efforts to excel in my studies, all my attempts failed. No matter how hard I tried to study, I could never score good marks. Most of the time I could hardly get just enough marks to get a pass in my exams. It was always hard and it broke my heart that I could not come up to my parent's expectations.
Once it was math paper. After finishing the exam, I felt for sure that I am not going to make it. That day my heart was very heavy and I came back home. After lunch, I went to my room and wept bitterly. I did not know where to turn. But I pleaded with Jesus to just give me pass marks in my exam. Weeping and weeping, I fell asleep and I did not know when. But when I woke up, I saw the Bible verse from Proverbs 3:5-6 written on a wall calendar which was hanging on one of the walls of my room which said, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."
When I read those verses, an unexplainable great peace filled my heart and all my worries left me. At that moment I knew that my prayers were answered. When the results were out, I had not only passed in my exam but to my surprise I had scored high marks in math much above the pass marks.
I remember another incident when I was seeking admission in my master's degree course in botany. All the seats were full and I was a little shy of the required marks so that I could not get a seat in that course. So to my disappointment, I was forced to join in M.A. Sociology course. About a month later when I went to the college and when I was reading the notice board, I was surprised to see my name along with a few other students who were given admission in the Botany course. So to confirm it I went to the office building and asked if this news was true? The office clerk pulled out her records and looked in it then she said, "yes, you have got admission there..." Then she continued her talk and said, "The University has just changed the rules..." What? University has changed the rules for me? I was completely shocked and I could not believe it. I don't have any idea, what she spoke after that, I walked out of the office building completely surprised and stunned.
Soon I joined the M.Sc. in Botany and needless to say that God helped me to pass in my master's degree with first class and second position in college.
He is a God who turns our failures into success. The same God who did for me can do it for you, if you just trust in Him with all your heart. He can turn your mourning into dancing. He could bless you beyond your imaginations if you trust in Him.
