We are already in recession and the new job numbers are alarming. In the last few months job numbers are still declining. Economy is already bad and many have lost their jobs due to natural disasters and other disasters like oil leak in gulf etc. which affected many businesses, tourism industry and so on. Throughout all these years economic conditions have been constantly declining instead of improving. We still do not have a solution for a strong economy.
I was thinking, why all these things are happening and what could be the solution for all these things? This verse from 2Chronicles 7:14 came into mind, "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
God of the Bible tells us that if those who are called by His name, humble themselves, pray and seek His face, turn from their evil ways then God will hear from heaven and forgive their sins. Not only that, He will also heal their land. The key is to get back to God.
Throughout the history of Israel we read that as long as the Israelites walked in the ways of God, they were prosperous and were blessed but when they turned their back to God, they suffered, they went into captivity, their crops were destroyed and their livelihood taken away from them. But whenever they humbled themselves, God blessed them and raised them above all their enemies.
Even today God's provision has not changed. Now also God is ready to bless our economy and prosper us and our nation if we humble ourselves and repent from our sins and turn to Him.
Bible also tells us in Psa 50:15, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me." Once the Israelites were in deep trouble, when Haman the high official of the King tried to wipe out all the Jews. Haman was even successful in getting the required money sanctioned from the king's treasury. But Esther asked Mordecai and all the Jewish people to pray and fast with her for three days as we read in Esther 4:16, "Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!"
In that impossible situation, God heard their cry and turned around their situation. Not only deliverance came for the Israelites but the same plot returned on the head of Haman who had plotted the evil scheme against the Jews. He was hung on the same gallows which he had built to hang Mordecai.
Yes, my friend, there is a God who is able to turn around our situations. He can even reverse the situations for us if we humble ourselves and turn to Him.
Prosperity - God's Perfect Will - Part 11

Many think that prosperity is not according to God's will. But if you read the Bible you can find out that God is very much interested in our prosperity. There are hundreds and hundreds of verses that suggest that prosperity is in God's perfect will.
In Deu 28:2-6 we read, "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out."
If all the above said things are fulfilled in a person, then he/she must not be a broke poor beggar who needs to depend on others and beg for his/her living. But these verses clearly tell us that those who walk in the ways of God are blessed in every area of their lives. When they go out and when they come in they are blessed. They are blessed in city, in country. They are prosperous and successful in their lives, wherever they go, whatever they do, it prospers.
I am sure we can not call a beggar prosperous and blessed. I am sure that we cannot call a person in rags prosperous and blessed. So when God promised these things in the Bible, He really meant it. He really wants and is interested in our prosperity.
Bible tells us about Jacob who ran for his life and went to his uncle's house. Though his uncle did not treat him well, though he changed his wages ten times yet God started to prosper him and started to bless him. A day came when Jacob's livestock increased more than Laban's. Here is what Jacob says about his life in Laban's house in Gen 31:38-42, "These twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your flock. That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you; I bore the loss of it. You required it from my hand, whether stolen by day or stolen by night. There I was! In the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night, and my sleep departed from my eyes. Thus I have been in your house twenty years; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock, and you have changed my wages ten times. Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night."
Thus Jacob returned to his father's land and God prospered him more and more in that land also. He became very rich and possessed many herds, livestock and riches. If God was not interested in our prosperity, He would have never prospered Jacob. If God was not interested in our prosperity, He would never have spoken as He has in Deuteronomy 28th chapter which clearly indicates that prosperity is in God's perfect will.
Yes, prosperity is God's perfect will and if we have known Him as our father and if we walk in the ways of God, He will surely prosper us.
