Bible tells us that God loves us and He wants to bless our lives. In Jermiah 31:3 we read, "The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: "Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you."
And in John 3:16-17, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
It is possible that you may think that, "There is no one in this world who loves me... everyone has rejected me... no one wants me etc." But there is a God who loves you and who wants to wipe away all your tears. For that very reason Jesus came in this world to take away our sorrows and pain and to give us a new hope and new life.
In the book of Genesis we read about Joseph. All his brothers hated him, were jealous about him and treated him very badly even to the extend that they sold him as a slave. Joseph was broken hearted and there was no hope for him. When his father was told that his son Joseph was dead, he went through such trauma that no one could console him. He wept and wept. His sorrow was beyond anybody's thinking. Losing his beloved son was completely devastating for him. (You can read the story of Joseph in Genesis 30 to 39th chapters of the Bible.)
But a day came in the lives of both Jacob and Joseph when they rejoiced and shed tears of joy. What appeared to be completely impossible was made possible by the mighty power of God, both of them could meet each other after many years and they rejoiced. All their sorrows turned into joy. Psalmist says in Psa 30:11, "You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness."
Yes, there is a God who not only cares for us but also wipes away our tears. Psalm 51:17, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise."
Just like Joseph and Jacob who were separated from each other, we are also separated from God because of our sins. One day devil came to Eve and lured her to do what was against God. And she ate the forbidden fruit of the tree of life. That very moment she died spiritually and when she gave the forbidden fruit to Adam, he ate and he also died spiritually. Both were separated from God. I can see the same trauma when man is separated from God. But thanks to God who Himself came down in the form of a man to reconcile us again with God (heavenly Father).
There is no other way except Jesus who gave Himself for us so that we could be saved from our sins. There is no other way to become spiritually alive again except through the life which Jesus gives. Jesus said in John 6:51, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."
This life came to this world but the greatest tragedy that happened was that the world did not know Him and did not receive Him. But whoever received Him, to them He gave Life Eternal. John 1:12-13, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. "
My question to you today is, 'have you been born again'? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, this is the time, just tell Jesus to come into your heart. When He will come in, He will give you abundant life.
Prosperity - God's Perfect Will - Part 14
Joshua 1:8, "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."
God gave this simple formula to Joshua many centuries ago and when Joshua applied that simple formula, he saw success after success in his life. Wherever he went, he saw his work prospering. And this simple formula works for everyone who meditates on His word day and night and do according to His word.
Yesterday I was watching the program of Joseph Prince. He told about the testimony of a sister named Olivia Lum. She wanted to start her business but everybody told her that she is so dumb that she could not do any type of business. But one day someone gave her some advice and told her, "if you really want to do business and want to be successful you must start reading the Bible." So she started reading the Bible even though she was not saved. For two years she read the Bible and after that she got saved.
Then she started her business though she saw so much opposition and trouble in her business and yet she continued holding on to the two promises of God in Bible. One of the promises is from John 10:10, where Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Second one I forgot. She claimed those verses again and again and Olivia Lum went from having an average life to become the richest person in South East Asia.
Wikipedia tells about her, "She was adopted at birth, and never knew her parents; she was brought up by a woman whom she called as grandmother. When Lum was only three, her grandmother gambled away her savings; they lost the house in which they were living, and moved to a leaky shack without running water." But now her business had grown to two billion dollors.
This is what God does when we give first place to God and His word. This woman had no one to look after her. But how God had raised her to the top of the world. Is it not according to what He said in His word, Deu 7:14, "You shall be blessed above all peoples.."
Bible talks about a young man named David who was just a shepherd boy who was nothing in the sight of his brothers and his father. But God anointed David to be king of Israel. Though there was such trouble in his life, though he had to run for his life, though he was broken, yet a day came when God raised him from his lowly state to become king of Israel because he loved the Lord and walked in His ways.
The same promise is for us even after many centuries and will continue to be applicable that success and prosperity would come in our lives if we meditate on God's word day and night and walk in His statutes.
