This week the Chilean miners were rescued more than two months after they were trapped underground in the mine. They were in such desperate condition without food and without any means of escape that they thought they would die. No matter how hard they would have tried, those thirty three miners could never have come out by themselves. They had no other option except to die unless they were rescued by the rescuers. Seventeen days had passed by and no one knew for sure whether they were alive are not. But when they were found to be alive, how joyful the moment was for their families and friends that even the whole nation was celebrating. When they were rescued and were brought out, the celebration grew to be more universal. It was such an emotional reunion of families. What a joyous moment for them!
Because of our sin we are also entrapped, as if, within a dark mine from where we cannot escape by ourselves. No amount of good work could help us to get free from that dark pit. No amount of rituals and righteous deeds could ever rescue us from the horrible death trap. But we need a rescuer who could save us from that horrible pit. We need a savior who could rescue us from our sin and from hell.
Jesus came for the very purpose to rescue us and to bring us out of the horrible pit of sins in which we are. He came in this world and died on our behalf shedding His precious blood on the cruel cross. Today we can get forgiveness of our sins and we can come out of the dungeon in which we have fallen because of our sins. But there is a way out and that way is Jesus.
Jesus said in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." There is no other way to escape from hell fire and the judgment of God except through Jesus alone.
If you repent from your sins and turn to Him, He is ready to forgive and forget all your sins and is ready to give you eternal life. He is ready to bring you out of that horrible pit in which you are. It is possible that all your efforts to come out of your sins have failed. It is also possible that you might have tried and tried to come out of your addictions and have been disappointed to see that all your attempts had failed. But if you call upon the name of Jesus, He can help. His blood would cleanse you clean as we read in 1John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Bible also tells us in Proverbs 28:13, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."
Therefore come to Jesus, confess your sins to Him and ask for His forgiveness. How great will be the celebration when you are out of that dark, horrible pit. What joy it would be when you are forgiven of your sins!
Prosperity - God's Perfect Will - Part 17

Our God is a God of prosperity. When we give our lives in the hands of Jesus, He prospers us and our lives start to flourish.
Once when multitudes were with Jesus and the day was far spent, when evening came, the disciples of Jesus came to Him and asked Him to send them away so that they could go to the near by villages to get food for themselves. But we read in Mat 14:16 that Jesus said to them, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat." But His disciples said in Mat 14:17, "We have here only five loaves and two fish."
So Jesus said to them in Mat 14:18-21, "Bring them here to Me." Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children."
Here is the story of how Jesus fed more than five thousand hungry people with just five loaves and two fishes. When a little boy gave his dinner to Jesus, He took the loaves and the two fish in His hand, blessed it, broke it and gave to His disciples to distribute to the multitude. The food which seemed nothing for a big crowd, started to multiply and it was more than enough for the crowd of more than fifteen thousand people.
When we give our lives in the mighty hands of Jesus, He blesses us and our life would never be the same again when it happens. He takes our lives into His hands and that life which seems to be nothing and of no value for anybody, starts to flourish and becomes a blessing for many. If we just give our lives to Him, He would make our lives useful for many.
How many times people sink in deep depression thinking that their lives are just not good for anybody, not useful for anybody and they commit suicide because they think that their living or dying will not make any difference. But if we give our lives to Jesus, He can make our lives blessed and useful.
In my own life I thought like this and often I wept bitterly thinking how useless my life was. I often thought low about myself and I thought that everyone else has many talents but I am just nil in everything, nothing good in my life, not good in my studies and a burden to my parents.... But when I gave my life to Jesus, He changed everything in my life. He turned my failures into success. He turned my tears into joy. He started to use me for His glory.
Yes, my friend, if you give your life to Jesus. He is ready to change everything in your life also. He is ready to wipe away your tears and fill you with great peace and joy. He will use you to bring many into His joy and salvation.
