When a child is born to his parents, he inherits the nature of his parents. I remember that one of my front teeth was not as normal as other children's. It looked like a portion was chipped of or broken or decayed. My parents were often worried about my teeth. And whenever they got a chance to meet some famous dentists, they would take me to him, to find some solution for my bad teeth. Finally they took me to a very famous doctor in Trivandrum, India. The doctor looked at my teeth and examined with some instruments then with a sigh he told my parents, "There is no solution for her teeth because when she was in her mother's womb, mother had calcium deficiency and that's why her tooth has developed like this." Well, my parents were very frustrated hearing that and that was the last time I was taken to a dentist for my bad teeth. But later when I grew up, a dentist fixed my teeth.
In those days, I often wondered how my teeth could be deformed just because my mom had calcium deficiency. But when I studied I came to know that we inherit from our parents whether it could be their nature, their sicknesses, their life style and what not.
Bible also tells us the story of the beginning of human race. There was nothing in this world like we see today but it was void and without form. Then God decided to create this world. He made everything, heaven & earth, beautiful oceans and streams, animals, birds, trees, sun and moon. Finally He took the dust of the earth and created man and put him in sleep and created Eve. They were perfectly and beautifully made. They were given everything to enjoy in the Garden of Eden. There was no pain, no sorrow, no death, and no tear. Nothing bad was there. But one day they fell in sin and disobeyed God. They ate the fruit of the tree which God had forbidden them to eat.
They were now miserable, shameful, hiding themselves behind some leaves. They were afraid, they were frightened and they did not know what to do? God found them in that miserable state. Their relationship with God was broken. Then God sacrificed an animal to cover their shame and for them He made skin tunics.
Then Adam and Eve were sent out of the Garden of Eden and made them to work hard and to earn their living. Later two sons were born to them. One was Cain and the other was Abel. Cain was evil but Abel was righteous in the sight of God. When Cain's offering was not accepted by God while Abel's was accepted, Cain became angry and killed his own brother. We see here that the fallen nature of Adam and Eve is being transferred from generation to generation.
Today we see evil in this world because of this fallen nature. The same corrupted blood of Adam and Eve is flowing in us. That is the reason why our inclination is towards committing sin. But Jesus came in this world to take away our sins and wash us from all unrighteousness. He came to restore our lives, to restore our relationship with God and to give us eternal life.
Bible tells us in John 1:12-13, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
The precious blood of Jesus that was shed on the cruel cross is able to wipe away all the stains of sin from our lives. You can come to Jesus and get forgiveness of your sins.

If we are a child of God, if we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, then God had provided us with the weapons of warfare that we could be successful and triumphant in every situation.
Life giving Blood of Jesus:
Jesus said in John 6:54-55, "Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed."
Sometimes people think that these verses are talking about taking communion served in the Church. But no, because the communion served in the Church is just symbolic in remembering the sufferings of Jesus on the cross, death and resurrection and by taking it we cannot achieve atonement or salvation of our soul. Jesus did not mean that people could have eternal life by having communion in the Church. But He told that we need to know Him personally. Once Jesus said in John 6:35, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."
When a person accepts Jesus as his/her Lord and Savior, He comes in and gives eternal life to that person. He satisfies his/her spiritual hunger and thirst.
We abide in Him because of the Blood of Jesus:
A person who is saved should have continuous relationship with God and then only can he abide in Him. Jesus said in John 6:56, "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him."
When we read His word everyday, when we communicate with Him in prayer everyday we abide in Him and we do according to His word.
We can overcome by the blood of Jesus:
Rev 12:11, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."
Once I read about a true incident which happened to Martin Luther. One day Martin Luther was sitting in his room. The devil sought to discourage him by making him feel guilty through rehearsing a list of his sins. When the devil had finished, Luther purportedly said, “Think harder: you must have forgotten some.” And the devil did think, and he listed more sins. When he was done enumerating the sins, Luther said, “Now, with a red pen write over that list, “The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin.” The devil had nothing to say.
Yes, there is power in the blood of Jesus and we can overcome sin, shortcomings, problems and every situation that could defeat us.
