Bible tells us in Luke 1:50, "And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation."
In the Bible we read about Abraham who believed in God with all his heart, who walked with God in holiness and in righteousness. Because of his loyalty and because of his faithfulness towards God, he was rewarded with great blessings.
God said to Abraham that he will be blessed and because of him all the nations of the earth would be blessed. We read in Gen 18:17-19, And the LORD said, "since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him."
Have you ever wondered why Abraham got such a big blessing in his life? The reason is simple that he feared God and walked in the ways of God. And because he walked with God, God blessed him in return. Psalmist says in Psalm 112:1-2, "Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed."
The same thing was with Isaac, Jacob, David and other men and women of God who walked in the ways of God. They saw blessings in their lives and in their descendant's lives. Today also God wants us to walk in His ways so that we could see blessings of God in our lives. We also read in Psalm 84:11, "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly."
In the life of David we read that he had to run for his life. It was not for a day or two but he had to run in wilderness, in mountains and had to hide in caves etc. for more than 14 years. He was not even able to meet his parents in those days. He was not sure whether he could survive or not. But he loved the Lord and walked in His ways and God alone was his protection. And a day came when he not only survived but also became king of Israel. God removed his wanderings and tears from his life. If he had not given his life to God, he would have been easily killed by Saul who was the king of Israel.
Yes, there is a God who wants to fill us with His goodness and blessings. Often people think that God is someone who sits in an unapproachable place. But it is not true. If we take a step toward God, He will come running towards us and He will fill us with His blessings. He said in Matthew 11:28, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Just come to Him, no matter what you are or no matter how many sins you might have committed, He is ready to forgive and forget all your sins.
The Love Story

Christmas is around the corner. We can see beautiful decorations in shops and malls, tasty food and wonderful carols. Why all these celebrations? I would like you to come with me and turn back the pages of history.
When God created this world, He also created human beings named Adam and Eve. God made them in His own image and in His own likeness and He took care of them as His own children. They were given every right to enjoy and live comfortably in the Garden of Eden. Everyday God would come and talk with them and walk with them.
But one day a terrible thing happened. The serpent that was the most cunning in all creation came to Eve and lured her to eat the fruit that God had forbidden them to eat. So Eve ate and gave it to Adam also. The moment they ate, they lost the glory of God that was in them and their eyes were opened and they could see that they were naked. Soon they were sent out of the Garden of Eden. This tragedy brought death, separation from God, pain, sorrow and toil in the lives of human beings. Man became corrupt and no corrupt thing could ever stand in the presence of the holy God.
But when God saw the pathetic state of human beings, He could not see it any more. His heart was ripped apart. There were the two choices before Him either to just destroy His creation or to save them from corruption. But God who is full of Love came down to save the human beings out of their dire state - a state from where they could never be able to come out.
He gave Himself for the dying humanity. About 2000 years ago He took the form of a man and took birth in the little town of Bethlehem. The creator of this universe humbled Himself just to save you and me and to restore us from our prior state. For this very purpose Jesus came in this world, He went up to Calvary and shed His precious blood on the cruel cross, just to see us happy and just to see us full of life.
There is no greater love than this that someone dies on behalf of us. But Jesus did it for you and me. And because of His sacrifice, we can have eternal life and forgiveness of our sins. In this Christmas season, I pray that God shows His love to you that how much He loved each and every one of us and gave Himself for us. He is ready to take you back as His child. Will you come back to Him?
