As we are wrapping up this year and if we look back we can see God's goodness and faithfulness which He showered in our lives. And I am sure that God has great and awesome plans for us in the coming New Year 2011.
One such plan of God is to deliver us and bring deliverance in our lives.
Deliverance from the oppression of the devil:
In the Bible we read about a woman who was bent over because of the spirit of infirmity. She suffered for eighteen years in that she could not in any way raise herself up. I can imagine with how much pain she would have gone through because of her sickness. Many would have made fun of her because she was not like others. She could not walk like others; she could not do anything like others.
But one encounter with Jesus turned her life and her destiny forever. One encounter with the creator of this universe made her to go free of all the oppressions of the devil who had kept her bound for eighteen long years.
Bible tells us in Luke 13:10-13, "Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, "Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity." And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God."
One Sabbath it happened that Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues and this woman was there. And master's eyes were searching the hearts of His listeners. When He looked at this woman, He could see her broken heart with full of pain and full of tears. Years of depression was mounted in her heart. But He was moved with compassion for her and healed her. The eighteen years of misery was gone in one split second.
Further Jesus says that, "So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound; think of it; for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?" Being a daughter of Abraham tells us that she was saved yet satan had bound her with infirmity. Zacchaeus was also called a son of Abraham when he found salvation of God as we read in Luke 19:9, And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;"
Yes my friend, there are people who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and walking in His holy ways and yet are found to be bound by satan with different types of sicknesses, problems and curses. But Jesus wants to bring deliverance in our lives. He wants to remove sicknesses, problems, curses and devil's oppression from our lives. If we come to Him, if we seek Him, He is ready to deliver us. He does not want us to enter in this New Year bound with oppressions of satan, bondages and hardships but He wants to deliver us no matter what we are going through today.
Let us just trust in Him fully and allow Him to do His mighty works in us and through us. Wish you a very Happy and Blessed New Year 2011.
New Year 2011 - A Year of Abundance!

While I was praying, God told me that despite economy going down, despite recession, this year would turn out to be a year of abundance for those who love the Lord and walk in the ways of God. Also that the prosperity that had started from last year in the lives of believers would continue until it brings them out of debt and poverty. And the next seven years would be years of plenty and abundance that will make the "body of Christ" to exceed in wealth above every wealth in this world.
Bible tells us about Abraham who came to the land of Canaan as a foreigner and yet he prospered and became great and very wealthy. His wealth increased so much that even the land was not capable to accommodate him. The only reason for the prosperity of Abraham was that, he obeyed God, he trusted God and walked in the ways of God.
When God took the Israelites and brought them out of Egypt, what He told them can be seen in Deuteronomy chapter 28 which I am copying as it is below.
Deu 28:1 "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
Deu 28:2 "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:
Deu 28:3 "Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
Deu 28:4 "Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
Deu 28:5 "Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
Deu 28:6 "Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
Deu 28:7 "The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
Deu 28:8 "The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
Deu 28:9 "The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways.
Deu 28:10 "Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you.
Deu 28:11 "And the LORD will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.
Deu 28:12 "The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
Deu 28:13 "And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
Deu 28:14 "So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them."
You can see how clearly God had warned them and told them that if they obey Him in all respects, all the above written blessings would be theirs but if not curses would come in their lives. Many thousands of years later even today, God wants to tell us the same thing. If we obey Him, if we walk in His ways, blessings and prosperity will follow us otherwise no. And this is the year when God will remove poverty from your lives and His abundance will flow.
Yes, this would be a year of abundance and blessings. Just look to Him and walk in His ways. He will prosper you beyond your imaginations and beyond your expectations.
