Recently there were major earthquakes all around the world, first in Haiti, then in Chile, Taiwan, Indonesia, Turkey and Las Angels. There were miner earthquakes and tsunamis reported in different parts of the world. Many died and many were injured because of them. It was scary!
But Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 24:6-8, "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."
Before the coming of Jesus, all these calamities will start happening and these signs will come in this world. Many are ignorant about these events and many have never heard about these events.
But Jesus did not stop just saying about those calamities but He often taught continuing that those who will believe on Him have eternal life. Jesus came in this world to give us eternal life. On the one side there is death and destruction but on the other side eternal life has been offered to us by the creator of this universe Himself. Jesus said in John 5:24, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."
Jesus offered everlasting life for us - A life that will never fade away. Not only did Jesus offer everlasting life but also a life full of peace and joy in this world itself. He said in Mat 11:28, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
No matter what happens around you, no matter what hell breaks loose on you, He will keep you in perfect peace. For this very purpose Jesus came in this world and He took away our sins on the cruel cross. He shed His precious blood and died on behalf of us so that our sins could be forgiven. He died to give us new life. The death through which we had to go through, He went through as a perfect substitute. Today we can get freedom from our sins because of His shed blood just by coming to Him and asking for forgiveness of our sins.
Jesus often spoke to people "Repent" as we read in Mark 1:15, "and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." And in Luke 13:3, "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."
Bible also tells us that if we repent from our sins He is ready to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and He is ready to make us whiter than snow. More than that He offers it FREE! Come and receive this free gift of salvation today!
God of Protection

Bible talks about a God who protects His children from dangers, evil things, evil people and all kinds of harm. In the Bible we read about many who had been protected from harm as they were warned by dreams or visions. After Jesus was born and when the wise men came to the palace of king Herod and inquired about the new born king Jesus, they were troubled. So Herod ordered to kill all the newborn children up to two years old. But God miraculously protected Jesus and His parents as we read in Matthew 2:13, "Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him."
If you are a child of God, God will talk to you through dreams and visions and He will tell you about the things to come. When Joseph was yet a small boy God showed him through dreams that one day he will become such a great man that his brothers and parents will bow down before him. Later it happened exactly.
I remember that once we had to go to a function. The previous night just before the day of function, I saw a dream. The dream was very simple and yet profound. I saw one couple sitting just in front of us at the dinner table. There were chocolate boxes in front of them on the table. They were talking and both were showing chocolates and they were recommending to eat some of them saying, "take this, this one is very good or that one is very good." Few moments later I saw that some gravy or sauce got spilled over the dress of that lady, but she was not noticing it. When she realized that her dress was spoiled, she stood up in hurry to clean. At that moment I gave a closer look at her dress and it became vividly clear to me that it was a violet colored dress. And my dream ended there.
Next morning when I woke up, I told the dream to all my family members. We realized that God warned us through that dream of some kind of danger laid ahead of us.
That day we went to the function. Of course we were cautious not to be in any kind of trap. As we sat there, we saw the couple entering the building. We all were astonished to see the dress was of the same color that I saw in my dream. At the time of eating food we conveniently avoided the table in which they were sitting.
Yes, my friend, God knows what is ahead of you and He is interested to show you the things to come. If you are a child of God and if Spirit of God resides in you, He will guide you, lead you and protect you from all evil.
Jesus said in John 14:17 & John 16:13, "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."
