In Mark 5th chapter we read about a devil possessed man. This man when he met Jesus, his life completely turned around, restored, renovated so that he became a regular person. This person who was useless for society, a burden for the whole city became a useful person. What a great change that came in his life as soon as he met Jesus.
Bible tells us in Mark 5:10-17 that, "the demons begged Him earnestly that they be not sent out of the country. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. So the demons begged saying, "Send us to the swine, that we may enter them." Jesus gave them permission and the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea and drowned there. Now those who were feeding the swine fled, and told what had happened to him who had been demon -possessed and about the seine in the city and in the country. And those from the city came to see what it was that had happened. They saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region."
You can see what a contrast in behavior of the people of that land compared to that of the demon possessed man. When the demon possessed man saw Jesus he fell at the feet of Jesus and the result was that he got immediate restoration of his life but when the people of that land saw Jesus, they told Him to depart from their region. Had they fallen at the feet of Jesus as the demon possessed man did, their business and their lives would have been restored. But they lost that golden opportunity which knocked at their door.
Even today, Jesus is standing at the door of our hearts and knocking. Would you let Him in or would you turn Him down? The choice is yours! If you let Him in, I would say that it would be the best decision of yours that you have ever made. And your life will never be the same again. Just as the demon possessed man's life had turned around, your life will also turn around. You will see restoration, renovation, new and abundant life in this earth and more than that when you die, you will go to heaven.
Yes, Jesus is interested to restore our lives. About six thousand years ago, devil stole our lives in the Garden of Eden. Ever since he made us to go through endless problems, sins, sickness, poverty, heartbreaks etc. but Jesus came to rescue us from all these things and to give us a blessed life. My friend, if you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, this is the moment. Just come at the feet of Jesus and He will restore your life.
John MacArthur is Wrong! - Conclusion - Part 37
By Sherly Isaac
I think that it is time for me to conclude this long series. I have tried to cover main points where John MacArthur's message differed from the Bible.
I believe that each and every person needs to get forgiveness of his/her sins if they really want to go to heaven. Because we all have sinned and we are separated from God and unless we reconcile with God, unless we unite with God again, there is no chance that we could ever enter in heaven. Sin separates us eternally from God. If we continue in sin without getting forgiveness of our sins, we will be separated from God forever. John MacArthur says again and again that by self denial we could achieve salvation of our souls but that is a lie from hell.
But I have the Good News for you. No matter what your sins are they can be got forgiven if you just come to Jesus. In Isaiah 1:18 God Himself said, "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool."
In the whole Bible we never read that God ever spoke of forgiveness of our sins through self-denial. What the whole Bible tells us is that we have sinned and we need a Savior who could wash away our sins. And when we confess our sins, we can get forgiveness of our sin and also eternal life.
But in this very important point which is the main point in every person's life, John MacArthur has twisted it so that nobody could be saved and nobody could go to heaven. He always tried to be very near to this point of 'self-denial' but had never come to this point that, "we need to repent from our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior" without which no one can enter in heaven.
Jesus clearly spoke and said in Luke 13:2-3, And Jesus answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."
Sometimes we think that others did such and such thing that's why bad things happened to them or they are worst sinners than all but Jesus made it clear that none would be saved unless they repent from their sins.
It is important for every person to repent from their sins and repent to the one who can forgive our sins who is Jesus alone. When you do that, you will be forgiven of your sins and you will have eternal life. Jesus promised a new life and a new beginning. But unfortunately people like John MacArthur have prevented people from getting this wonderful life which Jesus wants to give to everyone.
