Recently Dr. Paul Crouch the founder of Trinity Broadcasting Network passed away. God used him mightily in establishing many TV, Radio and Satellite channels through which Gospel could be proclaimed. Dr. Paul Crouch was used by God mightily and many saw the light of Jesus Christ through those channels. I was reading his son's Facebook page where he wrote, "I learned that God does not always use the most talented or wealthy, but He is looking for obedience. When God called my folks to start TBN, they simply said, "Yes." By using the unqualified or imperfect vessel, God gets the glory and not man."

How true it is! When God called David to become king of Israel, He did not look to his qualification and ability. If He had looked for qualification and ability, He would have chosen any of David's brothers who were already in King Saul's army. Even David's father did not believe that David had any ability to become a king. Bible tells us that when Samuel came to inquire about Jesse's sons, he sent only seven of his elder sons in front of Samuel and he forgot about David. Finally only when Samuel asked, Jesse had to bring David in front of Samuel as we read in 1 Samuel 16:10-11, "Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, "The LORD has not chosen these." And Samuel said to Jesse, "Are all the young men here?" Then he said, "There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep." And Samuel said to Jesse, "Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here."

You can see that no one thought that David was qualified for becoming a king. Of course he was not qualified as he was a shepherd boy and was not trained in military like his brothers. But God looked at the heart of little David and chose him because his heart was for God. He was ready to do anything for God.

Sometimes people even their own family members would look down on them. May be you do not have much talents but if you give your life in the mighty hands of Jesus, He is ready to bless and use even those lives which seems completely useless.

In the Bible we read that once Jesus was preaching and a big crowd followed Him. When it was evening, His disciples came and asked Him to let the people go to their houses otherwise they will go hungry. But Jesus said to them in Matthew 14:16-21, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat." And they said to Him, "We have here only five loaves and two fish." He said, "Bring them here to Me." Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children."

A little boy, who had five loaves and two fish, when he gave it in the hands of Jesus; He blessed it and multiplied it so that the multitudes could get filled. That's what happens when we give our lives in the mighty hands of Jesus. He blesses our lives and makes us a blessing and uses us among multitudes. Would you give your life to Jesus today?

A Season of Gift Giving

By Sherly Isaac

Christmas season is well known for gift giving. Who does not like to receive gifts? We all love to receive gifts. Kids wait for Santa to come and give gifts to them. They make their wish lists days ahead so that Santa could bring right gift for them.

But today I would like to introduce you about the greatest gift ever to mankind has been already given. Now it is time to receive that amazing gift. The story begins in the Garden of Eden where God put the first mankind Adam and Eve. Both were happy and were blessed with all the blessings of God. But one day they sinned against God. The result was that God sent them away from the Garden of Eden. They lost everything and most importantly they were separated from God. It was a painful event when man and God's relationship ended.

But God could not see man in that pitiful state. So He decided to send His only Son to this earth to take away the sins of the people. Also to built a bridge between God and man so that man could come to God again and their relationship could be restored. So Jesus was born in a manger. At His birth, angels sang in, Luke 2:11, "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."

Jesus also said in Luke 19:10, "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

We all are lost in sin and we all need forgiveness of our sins. There is no greater gift than this that our sins could be forgiven. And for this very purpose Jesus came in this world humbling Himself, taking birth in the lowliest place. Walked among us though rejected by men and finally gave Himself on the cruel cross just to see that the relationship between human and God is restored.

My dear friend, Let not this Christmas just pass by you. But receive the greatest gift in your life. The Forgiveness of your sins! This life will soon pass away but if you have received forgiveness of your sins, you will live in heaven forever and forever. There is no other way or there is no other method through which you can get forgiveness of your sins except through the blood of Jesus.
