John 14:1, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
Jesus spoke these words when He was about to leave this world. He knew that His days on this earth were few and He was about to be crucified. He told to His disciples, "Let not your heart be troubled" because He knew beforehand that His crucifixion will break the hearts of disciples and will trouble their hearts. Jesus further said to them in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Jesus gave His peace to His disciples and described the peace as perfect peace that world cannot give - The peace that will last forever, the peace that will prevail in the times of terrible problems and heartbreaks. In this troubled world, God wants to give you the same peace that He gave to His disciples. He wants to take away your pain and sorrows. Many think that because of communication gap or lack of love etc. we lose peace in our lives and in our homes. But I remember we had no communication gap but whenever we gathered together to talk, it always ended up in fighting. We read Bible everyday, we prayed and even we went to Church regularly but had no peace in our lives. I thought my problems solution is only suicide. There was no peace or no love in our home.
And very often we forget that because Jesus is not in our homes or in our lives, that is why we see peace less situation in every area of our lives. If we want perfect peace, we should ask Jesus to come into our lives because Jesus is the Prince of peace. He is the source of peace, without Him we cannot achieve peace. Communication is good, giving advice is good, counseling is good but real peace comes from God alone. When we all accepted Jesus in our lives and when we invited Jesus in our lives and in our home, He came in and changed everything. He gave us peace and joy that world cannot give. He took all our brokenness and made us happy. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He can do the same thing for you.
Are you troubled in your heart, are you broken hearted because of loss of your loved one? Are you going through tears and pain? Are you thinking that there is no hope left for you? Look to Jesus He is the prince of peace, He can give you peace that world cannot give.
Someone Cares for you
By Sherly Isaac
1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."
Many a times when we go through problems, tears and even rejection we feel, as no one caring for us. We feel as no one loves us or have any concern for us. But Jesus said in Luke 12:24, "Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?" Further He says in Luke 12:27-28, "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?"
When God cares for small birds and even grass and wild flowers that grow and no one really cares about them. If He cares for these small things then why not He will care for us? Why we should worry about tomorrow?
When Israelites came out of Egypt they had only few belongings may be food for few days. But Moses trusted on God for more than 1.5 million people. Many a times there was no food or water but when Israelites cried out, God gave them food and water miraculously. God was a father to them and took care of them as His own children. Moses said in Deuteronomy 32:6, "Do you thus deal with the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father, who bought you? Has He not made you and established you?"
Moses in his last speech said to Israelites, "And the LORD, He is the one who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed."(Deuteronomy 31:8)
If you have asked God to come into your life and be your Lord and Savior then He will take care of you. He will go before you and make way in your difficult situations. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Yes, He is the God who cares for you and wants to bless your life. He wants to wipe away all your tears and wants to give His divine peace that world cannot give.
If you are going through tears and problems look to Jesus He is ready to help you. Bible says about David who did grave mistakes in his life. He was a man who sinned against God but when he repented from his sins then God forgave him. Though God punished him but he could experience the forgiveness of his sins. God blessed his life. And we know that promised Messiah came through his lineage.
Today you may be worried about your future. You may be surrounded by many problems but God cares for you. Don't look at your today's situation but look for tomorrow. You have a better future. Bible says in Psalms 34:5, "They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed." If you look toward Jesus, you will never be ashamed but God will bless your life.
