Two days back I got an email from one person saying, "So now I ask my question. Why are there examples of Jesus healing the sick (as could be done with medicine) and doing other miracles (as could be done with "magic" as in Exodus) yet there are no examples of Jesus healing a marriage?
For discussion purposes: is healing a marriage to big of a miracle? How does that relate to hoe marriage was supposed to be an example of how Christ lead the church ... turn away and be crucified full well knowing that the love "endures all things"?"
And I started thinking that is there any passage in Gospels where Jesus dealt with this subject? While praying, Holy Spirit reminded me few passages where Jesus clearly dealt with the problem of marriages. I am taking only one passage today.
In John 4th chapter we read that Jesus spoke with a Samaritan woman and after talking few moments when Jesus said to her that, He can give the living water to her. So the woman said to Him in John 4:15, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw." And further we read their conversation in John 4:16-18 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here." The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,' "for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly."
Look at the life of Samaritan woman, does not it reflect the today's modern society? She was not a prostitute but she had five husbands. She might have divorced one after another and like wise married five husbands. And further Jesus says to her, "And the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly." It seems that 6th one was her new boyfriend with whom she was dating and living with him before marriage.
Is it not a picture of our modern society today? Young men and young women are dating and living with each other before their marriages and many walk away before their marriage takes place or they take divorce if they are married. If you look around, you will find many are like that only. Once a person wrote to me about his tragic life that really broke my heart. He said, "I and my girlfriend dated and started living together without getting married. And had kids. But now my girlfriend has a new boyfriend who frequently visits our home and it really bothers me. It is also not good for our kids." And the most amazing thing is our society has approved these types of atrocities. Once a pastor told us that, "It is the culture of America and we cannot do anything in it." Then he said, "If you think that wearing makeup is not sin then living with each other before marriage is also not sin." Our pastors, elders and even parents have bowed down before devil and no wonder the result is in front of us. Young people are living a messed up life like scrambled eggs. They have no idea where to turn, what to do.
Samaritan woman had the same life. Her life was totally messed up. Every time when she got married, she might have thought that, her life will be a blessed one but it always ended up in misery and pain. And Jesus touched the very heart of her problem saying, "Go, call your husband, and come here." And her reply was, "I have no husband..." Then Jesus discloses all her life and her past, why? Not to condemn her but to heal her broken marriage, broken home and her broken heart. To give her the living water so that she may drink of the living water and will never thirst. So that the water may become in her a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."
We read further that the Samaritan woman went rejoicing to her city and told people of Samaria. They came to see Jesus and their reaction was in John 4:42, "Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world."
She met Christ; the Savior of the world and it changed her life. It changed her sorrow into joy. She was so exited that she introduced the Messiah to others in her city. My dear friend, are you in the same position today? Do you think that your life is like scrambled eggs and no one can fix it? Turn to Christ; He can fix your life. No matter how many times your marriage might have broken, no matter how many times you dated and lived with someone and ended up in misery and pain. If you repent from your sins and turn to Jesus Christ, He will forgive and forget all your sins and make your life a blessed one. He will fix your marriage problem and make your home a blessed home.
Witchcraft - A Demonic act

When you talk about witchcraft it is a very scary word isn’t it? When I was a kid I heard about witchcraft and demons over and over again but I had a feeling that it was not real. I always thought that it was just a made up story. But you may wonder to know that Bible speaks about demons and witchcraft. Demons are real and witchcraft has a destruction power, it is operated by the power of demons or satan.
Now question is why should somebody practice witchcraft? I believe that a person who practices witchcraft is mentally imbalanced, demon possessed or totally under the control (influence) of demons. You may wonder to know many look very decent, educated and rich but they are involved in these types of demonic acts. When I was working in India there was a girl from a very good and rich family. She used to talk, all the time openly about witchcraft. Later I found out that she and her family is very much involved in it.
Bible speaks about Saul who was a king but finally he approaches a witch woman. 1 Sam 28:7, “Then Saul said to his servants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor."
I referred Dictionary for the meaning of medium. It’s meaning is something like this. Mediums - A person thought to have the power to communicate with the spirits of the dead or with agents of another world or dimension. Also called psychic. It means psychic reading is also done by the power of demons or witchcraft. It is a great sin in the sight of God.
If you read the whole story of Saul you find that how Saul fell from better position. He was a member of very smallest tribe of Israel i.e. Benjamin. God raised him from that lowest position to the highest position of kingdom. God anointed him to be the king of Israel. But every thing did not go well. He reached to that higher position but did not care for God or God’s word. Bible says that three times he disobeyed God. That’s why God rejected him. 1 Sam, “15:26 But Samuel said to Saul, "I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel."
And that was the beginning of his fall. Once he was an anointed person. God rejected him to being the king of Israel. God not only rejected him but also sent an evil spirit upon him. 1 Sam, “16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the LORD troubled him.”
Later we find when Holy Spirit departed from his life and when distressing spirit or evil spirit came upon him he did all kinds of evil things. He tried to kill David several times. He went to woman who was practicing witchcraft. This is the miserable stage of a person who has fallen from God’s presence. Bible says he did not fall overnight. He did not sink in SIN overnight but it took long years. Witchcraft is an abomination in the sight of God. It is a great sin. He sank to that lowest level of sin why? Because he rejected God, because he disobeyed God and kicked God out of his life.
Yes sin destroys. Sin has greater consequences. Are you today living in sin? Are you today involved in such evil practices? Do you practice witchcraft? Do you believe in psychic readings? Do you go to psychic hotline? Let me tell you it is a great sin, it will not only destroy your life and your family but one day it will destroy your soul also forever. Saul fell to the point of witchcraft and it destroyed his very life itself. He committed suicide. He lost everything even place in heaven. Do not play games with God. Don’t think that nobody is watching you. Don’t think that you are so clever to live in such sin. God watches you all the time. He knows what you are doing. He sees you and grieves in His heart.
Now let us see another form of witchcraft.
Demon possession:
Acts 16:17, “This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation." Acts 16:18, “And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And he came out that very hour.” Acts 16:19, “But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities.”
Here Paul rescues a girl from demon possession.
I heard a true story. Once there was a preacher in India. They used to fast and pray every week. There was a sorcerer who used to send demons to their house to destroy them. Those demons were not able to penetrate their home and they were unable to enter the house so they used to return to the same sorcerer’s house and kill his animals (cow, buffalos etc.) or people in the house used to get very sick. This incidence went on for several months. Finally sorcerer found out what is going on. Every time those evil spirits return back to his house and they used to say, “we are unable to get into that preacher’s house because it is protected by wall of fire. They fast and pray every week so it is not possible to attack them.”
Yes my friend power of Satan cannot attack God’s people. If evil people and evil spirits torment you, look toward Jesus for your deliverance. Apply the blood of Jesus upon you daily. If you are not saved get saved. Ask for the protection of the blood of Jesus. Then no evil spirit will come nigh to you. Bible speaks about Job that God had put a hedge around his house. Job 1:10, "Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” If you fear God if you walk in the ways of God He will put hedge around your house and will protect you.
If you are tormented by evil spirits, if you want to get rid of it, invite Jesus in your life. When Son of God Jesus will come inside of you, when the mark of the blood of the lamb is put upon your heart, He will protect you from all evil.
Please pray this prayer from the bottom of your heart:
Lord Jesus I am a sinner. Please forgive and forget my sins. Wash away my sins with your precious blood. Cleanse my life with your precious blood. Please put the mark of the blood upon my heart. Make me your child. I want to live for you. I want to walk in your ways. I want to lead a holy life. Lord Jesus please wash away all my sins and make me whole. Today I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Now I am going to pray for those who are tormented by evil spirits.
Lord Jesus please stretch forth your mighty hand and deliver these people. Whoever is going through this situation deliver them Lord. In the name of Jesus be delivered. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth receive your miracle. In the name of Jesus receive your deliverance. You satan loose them in the name of Jesus. You devil take away your nasty hand from these people, loose them in the name of Jesus. Be delivered in the name of Jesus. Be delivered from nightmares in the name of Jesus. Be free from the clutches of demons. In the name of Jesus receive your deliverance. Thank you Lord for the deliverance. Thank you Jesus. We believe and take victory in the name of Jesus. Victory is ours. In Jesus name Amen.
Now I am praying for those who are involved in witchcraft and practicing witchcraft.
Lord Jesus I come against all the powers of darkness, which is holding these people. Set them free in the name of Jesus. Set them free in the name of Jesus. You satan leave them in the name of Jesus. You demon get away from them in the name of Jesus. Release them in the name of Jesus. Let all the evil powers flee in the name of Jesus. You satan loose them in the name of Jesus. Let all the witchcraft power vanish in the name of Jesus. You evil spirit of witchcraft, leave them in the name of Jesus. You cannot hold them, you don’t have power to hold them, I curse you in Jesus name. I come against all the powers of darkness in the name of Jesus. Loose them; let them go free in the name of Jesus. I proclaim liberty for these people. I proclaim victory today onwards for these people. Thank you Jesus for this deliverance. Thank you Lord for healing these people. Thank you master for the great deliverance. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray Amen.
Bishop Gladstones' Daughter Gets Married
Sheba, the daughter of Bishop Gladstone was married on Thursday the 4th July 2002 at the M.M.Church Trivandrum to Pyar. Most Rev. Dr. I. Jesudasan, the former Moderator somenised. The others who were present to bless the marriage included Bishop Samuel Amirtham, Bishop B.P.Sugandhar the Deputy Moderator, Bishop V.Devasahayam of Madras, Bishop Devakadasham of Kanyakumari and Bishop Joshua Mar Ignathious of the Catholic Church among others. A host of ecclecial and political leaders were present. Do pary for Pyar and Sheba..

Two of my sisters are proceeding to Kuwait today for writing CGNFS examination. The exam is scheduled for July 10.. Would you please specially pray for their success and safe journey.. They have tried before, but could not get through. At least this time, I request your prayers for their success..
My wife is suffering from severe eye problems please pray for her on a regular basis. My daughter is very poor in studies. Do pray for her as well..
I have two more cases to report. The one is the case of a sister who is pregnant and immediately after she became paralyzed. Your prayer is sought on a daily basis..
The second case is that of another sister who had a premature baby born 2 months before schedule and the child in questions is suffering from menegestic fever..

XVI Annual CSI Family and Youth Conference, Hosted by Emmanuel CSI Church, Philadelphia

This years Family and Youth Conference will be held at the Pocono Manor Inn, Pocono Manor PA 18349, from July 4th - 7th.
The Moderator Most Rev. Dr KJ Samuel will preside. The new Bishop of Central Kerala Diocese Rt Rev. Thomas Samuel will also be a leader. The main speaker is Rev Valson Thampu of St Stephen's College Delhi a well known author and preacher of Maramon Convention fame. Pastor Robbie Sortino and Scott Armstrong will lead the Youth sessions. Many dignitaries and officers of the CSI are also expected to attend.
The program will be mostly interactive and there will be a special revival meeting on Saturday night. There will be a Talent show on Friday night. The program will allow for plenty of time to socialize or to go sight seeing.
The venue is panoramic, scenic and relaxing. The accommodation is comfortable and the cuisine tasteful. The room availability now is limited as we have been receiving good response to our early registration drive. Registrations will close on April 14th due to limited space at the hotel.
