Exo 15:26 says, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you."

This was the word of God of promise for the Israelites when they came out of Egypt assuring them that He is the God of healing. Let us look at what type of healing He gives us.

1. Spiritual healing:
Many think that human beings are differ from each other because of their culture, race or religion. But if we look at any person we can see that they do not have any difference no matter to what part of the world they belong. They have the same structure, same nature and even they have the same feelings. When they sin they know that they are doing something wrong. That's why Jeremiah 17:9 states, "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" NIV translation says, "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure, who can understand it?"

God does not differentiate us considering our religion or our look or our color but He differentiates us as wicked or as righteous. There are only two categories in the sight of God, first category being sinners and the second righteous (those who have received forgiveness of their sins by being washed in the blood of Jesus). Bible also says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. If we continue in our wickedness, one day we will get the punishment for our sins. We all need healing of our wicked heart. We all need a Savior who can heal us from our wickedness and save us from our sins. That's why Jesus came in this world to save us. He shed His precious blood on the cruel cross so that we could come out of our sins and live a holy life. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, invite Him in your life before it may be too late. If you want to go to heaven, it is necessary that your sins are forgiven and you can live a holy life. And Jesus can forgive your sins and can give you a holy life.

Bible says that there is only one name given for our salvation, that is Jesus. There is no other person or god who can save us from our sins or from hell fire but only Jesus who is the Lord of lords and King of kings.

2. Emotional and mental healing:
Jesus not only wants to forgive our sins but also to deliver us from our emotional and mental tension. Once I heard about a woman who was totally devastated. She got married and had a wonderful married life. They had three children. One day her husband went to a business trip and never returned home. She had no job and she had no idea how she and her three children could survive from this crisis. She started losing everything and bills started piling up. She was so afraid of people that she stopped attending to any calls which came in. When she was going through terrible mental and emotional pain, she listened to one Christian song, "He will make a way... where there seems no way" and this gave her much comfort and consolation.

Bible also says about two sisters named Mary and Martha who lost their beloved brother Lazarus and they were in great pain. But Jesus came and raised Lazarus from the dead and it brought great peace and consolation in the life of Mary and Martha. Jesus wants to do the same thing for you. He wants to heal you emotionally and mentally.

You might have lost your loved one and may be you are in great pain and sorrow. You may have no consolation but if you allow Jesus to take away your pain and sorrow, He will gladly do that and heal you completely.

3. Physical healing:
Isaiah 53:5, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed."

Before He went to the cross, He was scourged for our physical healing. Today we can have healing from our sicknesses because of His stripes.

You need not to live in sin, you need not to live in pain and sorrow, you need not to live in tears and sickness but there is healing for you. Jesus took all your pain and sorrow on the cross to give you a peaceful and wonderful life. Will you look to Him today?

Fear of God

By Sheela Isaac

Prov 1:7, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
2 Cor 6:17, Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."
2 Cor 6:18 "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty."
2 Cor 7:1, “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

All these verses speak about fear of God. It says that fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. What kind of knowledge could it be? We find answers in the next verses - 2 cor 6:17 says, “do not touch what is unclean”, and 2Cor 7:1 says, “let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Today all over we see that what is lacking in this world is ‘fear of God’. Even our Churches lack it very badly. We do not have fear of God. That’s why sin is abounding everywhere. Today our Churches do not teach holiness but they say that as we are in grace period, we need not to worry much about it. Once I heard a Church Pastor saying, “We are not in Old Testament days, but we are in grace period so a little sin is ok.” After some time some Church members also started saying the same thing. Is it not awful? Bible says, “Do not touch what is unclean.” It means, ‘stay away from all kinds of filthiness, stay away from sin and sinful desires’. Again Bible says, “Keep walking in holiness till it reaches to perfection or perfect holiness.”

When does perfection come? When could you say, “I am totally perfect in holiness?” Can anybody declare that he/she is perfect in holiness? No!! Nobody can claim, “I am so holy that I do not need holiness hereafter or I do not need to repent hereafter, or I do not need to walk in holiness hereafter.” That’s why Bible says about perfect holiness, which means to keep walking in holiness till your life’s end, to long for holiness and to work hard to lead a holy or sin free life. It means to endure in faith and holiness till the end. Stay holy in each and every minute of your life.

2 Tim 2:12, “If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.
1 Tim 6:11, “But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
1 Tim 6:12, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

All these verses say, “Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith and so on… not only that fight the good fight of faith and hold on in eternal life.” That is called fear of God, if you have fear of God you will always want to lead a holy and perfect life, you will always fight to stay holy, away from sin and sinful desires. Let not anybody fool you. We are now definitely in grace period, but it does not mean, “keep on sinning and one day God will forgive you.” You will never find a reference in Bible, which says, “Little sin is ok.” Bible always speaks about holiness, righteousness, perfection and so on.

Now let us look into the consequences of not having fear of God:
1. Stay un-repented
2. Lack of holiness
3. False teaching

1. Stay un-repented:
Today many mainline Churches do not teach about Salvation or Repentance. Reason is, they do not have fear of God. In many cases they know very well what Bible speaks about, but they preach what the audience wants to listen. Their messages change each and every time according to crowd or audience. Who are you fooling, God or yourself? Pharisees and Sadducees did the same thing. They never wanted to repent from their sins nor did they allow their congregation to repent from their sins. Does not our Churches do the same thing today?

Bible speaks very clearly Jesus said that unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God, “John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Read again the verse 7 - John 3:7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

It is the only way to reach heaven. Don’t stay in darkness. Unless you repent from your sins, unless you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, unless you turn around from your sins and lead a holy life you cannot see the kingdom of God.

Recently I was reading the Book called “A divine revelation of Hell” by Mary k.Baxter. It describes about hell in vast detail. Mary Baxter had a vision of visiting hell for 30 consecutive nights with Jesus and found some startling truth about hell. She visited the pit of hell, left leg, right leg, belly of the hell, heart of the hell, and jaw of the hell. She could see the people in outer darkness also. It was the most horrific experience for her to see different kinds of demons and to see lost souls in torment of fire. There were several tunnels, which opened up in earth. She traveled through those narrow tunnels. Hell was filled with horrible screams of lost souls. She wrote that it was the dirtiest and evil place, which was filled with horrible smell. It was a very dark place without any lights. This book describes that there were several pits with brimstone and fire. She describes it as long as eye could see there were hundreds of similar pits in which lost souls were kept in fire. The people who were in pit were burning in fire. Their flesh was falling apart. They were sobbing horribly which shook their whole body. Their bodies looked like bones and skeleton with burned skin. Their eyes and noses had only sockets. They were in constant pain and worms were crawling all over them. She only could recognize them by their voices whether they were male or female. She described that it was such a pathetic scene to watch with horror. Hell is real.

Bible speaks the same thing.
Hell is a place were fire never quenches not worms die.
Mark 9:47, "And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire;” Mark 9:48, "where 'Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.'

Hell is a place of utter darkness.
2 Pet 2:4, “For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

Yes it is a place, which is going to burn for eternity. Have you ever thought about it? Have you ever thought about your soul? This worldly life is only for a short period. What you do here, it will determine your future. If you fail to repent from your sins in this world itself remember that hell is waiting for you and it is for an eternity. Do not play games with your soul. All the un-repented souls are in hell, who rejected the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Cross. Lack of fear keeps one person from repenting from his/her sin.

2. Lack of holiness:
If you have fear of God you will stay away from unclean, unrighteous and filthy things as Bible describes. Holiness comes only after repentance or Salvation. Without salvation it is impossible to lead a holy life. Holiness is a beginning process after salvation.

Let me explain it with an example. Before salvation I heard hundreds of times that watching secular movies is not right. I was fond of Hindi movies. I never felt anything dirty or wrong to watch it till salvation. But when I got saved and within a week or so the first thing which happened in my life was that whenever I tried to listen to movie songs it created horrible restlessness in my heart. I thought, “what is going on. Why I am so restless as though I am in high fever.” Later on I could not tolerate that kind of restlessness and so I quit hearing those romantic and lustful songs. I realized that God does not like it. Well but I continued watching secular movies. After salvation I watched movies for almost 2 years. As days passed by I realized that those movies no longer gave me enjoyment or satisfaction. Meanwhile the struggle continued within me whether watching romantic and lustful movies are correct in the sight of God or not.

One day I was hearing a radio message. The preacher said, “You cannot serve two masters at a time, you cannot serve both God and Satan. If you are on two boats one day you will sure fall, so decide today whom you want to serve, God or satan? If you want to serve God, totally incline toward God or go with satan.” That was a very touching message. I prayed that day, “Lord if it is your will that I should not watch those movies I am ready to repent and leave it fully. But here is a deal, “if you help me to stay holy and if you help me that I may not go back after some time and watch those movies again I am ready to leave it. I know that I cannot leave it by myself but I need your help.” God heard that prayer and the process of holiness began. I am happy to say that I never watched a sinful movie there after.

In the same way it is applicable for each and every sin like telling lies, cheating others, getting angry without cause, bitterness, hatred, spreading false rumors and so on. We need to become holy in all the fields.

Now how the process of holiness continued? I quit watching movies but still I am in a sinful world were always temptation is in front of me. How can you stay holy in that situation? After some years once I was flipping channels to see what programs are coming on TV. I suddenly reached the place were a movie was displayed. I stopped for a second and suddenly I heard the voice of Holy Spirit “you left this sin long back now do you want to get into it again.” Here are two choices before you in this situation whether to say yes to Holy Spirit and yield to the warning or ignore the voice of the Holy Spirit and say “let me enjoy for a while, because it is grace period.” After some time I would respond.” What you decide at the hour of temptation would fashion your future. I said “Yes I want to obey God” and shut down the TV. So I excelled in holiness and reached the next level of my spiritual journey.

In this situation if you say “No to the Holy Spirit” and keep on watching, what will happen? You will watch for 5 minutes at first, next time you may be watching for little more and next time still a little more and a time will come when you are totally in it. Holy Spirit may speak to you two-three times “don’t do it.” But if you do not yield, you will find that Holy Spirit is no longer convicting you or not speaking to you. Some times it gives a false assurance that “Holy Spirit is not convicting me any longer so I am going in the right direction.” It is a most dangerous situation where a fall or backsliding begins. Many backslide and never return to the first position. They even do not know when and how they lost their salvation. That is why Bible says in,

Gal 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”
2 Pet 2:20, “For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
2 Pet 2:21, “For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

These verses clearly say that once you are saved and if you do not watch and walk in holiness you could fall and even lose your salvation too. So here once again “once saved is always saved” theory fails. Watch out, be careful, let not anything make you to lose heaven.

The Mary Baxter’s book of hell again says that many are in hell, who failed to walk in holiness. It describes in detail how people who were involved in different kinds of sin are in hell. It is a place were killers, liars, people who were practicing witchcraft or giving training for witchcraft, followers of satan, people who were involved in occult all are there. Many who did not believe in Jesus are there. People who once saved but backslided, who could not walk in holiness till the end have also ended up there.

Read this book “A divine revelation of Hell” , it will change your perspective about life. It may save your soul from eternal damnation. I am sure it will remove the doubts, which many may have about hell and heaven. It also describes about her 10-day visit of heaven. Heaven is a very beautiful place like Bible describes.

3. False teaching:
Today many are teaching false things. Many are preaching from Bible but every thing is manipulated. Some are preaching according to crowd and people. Their messages change frequently.

We read in Bible that Balaam did the same thing. When he knew that he could get lot of money the message he wanted to give changed. He was ready to curse Israelites for the sake of money. Bible says that an angel appeared before Balaam to kill him, but his donkey saved him.

Few months back I preached a sermon in a Church. After that message the Pastor said, “you should not have preached that, I thought you would share your testimony.” I said, “I prepare messages with much prayer. I ask the Lord all the time what to preach and what not. I prayed days together to know the will of God and whatever message He gave I preached.” He again said, “I think you should have shared your testimony that is what this church needed.” Well we cannot say what the people needed. Only God who created us knows what a person needs.

Many fail to preach true Gospel according to Bible. People have warped the word of God according to their own need and interpreted it. That’s how many new beliefs like Jehovah’s Witness, Mormon (later day saints), and many new Churches and Bibles came in to existence. These churches take Bible verses and modify it a little bit here and there and present it, which totally contradicts God’s word.

Be careful what you preach. It could bring judgment and wrath of God upon you.
Mat 5:19 "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

I was reading the book of Mary Baxter and wondered to know that many preachers who once preached wrong messages have also ended up in hell fire. Many who did not preach the right Gospel, many who criticized about the anointing of the Holy Spirit, many who mocked the Gospel of Jesus Christ and failed to repent before their death are in hell. Many who once preached genuine salvation messages but later on because of love of money and wealth of this world distorted the word of God are also burning in hell fire. Many who committed suicide after salvation have also ended up there. These preachers are getting more punishment than other ordinary people. She says that demons are tormenting them night and day in shifts; because once they preached the Gospel and many were saved through that.

Yes my friend, hell is a horrible place, which will burn for eternity. It is my prayer, ‘let no one reach this horrible place’. If you want to escape from it you need to repent from your sins. Jesus said, “Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Repent from your sins and receive Him in your heart before time runs out. If you are a saved and spirit filled person that is good, but still you need to keep your garments in holiness. Jesus is coming for the bride who is blameless, without wrinkle or without any blemish. Walk in holiness, keep yourself all the time holy, because you know not the hour and the time when Son of man will return or when your journey of this world will end. May God bless you.

O Jesus, Son of Maryam, Heal me! - 14 (Life Story)

Till this time you have read that, Gulshan Fatima was paralyzed at her left side when she was only 6 months old. Her mother died when she was an infant. Her father loved her so much that he took her to England for treatment but when they heard the disappointing words of doctor, "it has no cure", their hearts broke down. Her father encouraged her and said, "We will go to Mecca and knock the door of Allah, and he will heal you." So they went to Mecca and visited Ka'aba - the house of Allah. Even she kissed the cubical shape of ka'aba but to their utter despair nothing happened. To avoid her father's troubled look, she kept her face down. Then they visited Safa and Marva from where they bought Zamzam water. She bathed with that water but nothing happened. She and her father returned home heart broken. Next blow for her was, her beloved father's death!! But while she was so disturbed, she heard a low, gentle voice telling her to read about Jesus in Quran Sura Maryam. She started reading Urdu Quran and started praying, "O Jesus, Son of Maryam, heal me!! Three years later her prayers were answered with a marvelous vision of Jesus. Jesus personally came and healed her. From the very first day, she realized the growing opposition from her relatives and acquaintance. Three weeks later she got a Bible. While reading the Bible she discovered the amazing fact that the Lord's Prayer which was taught by Jesus to her in her vision was found in the Bible word by word. Later she realized that baptism was necessary according to the Bible, so she took baptism and she was given the new name Gulshan Esther. She was rejected by her family members. Then she heard that her sister was dying. She went to see her but by that time she was dead. But God had told her that her sister will not die but will live. The miracle happened exactly. She came back to life after 14 hours. But when Gulshan returned to her school, she found that she had no job any longer. She returned to her sister's home but soon Anis's husband told her to get out of his house. So Gulshan went to Rawalpindi as advised by Anis but she was trapped.... She spent few months in Jail and seven women of her room turned to God and repented from their sins. She went to spend time with her brother Alim Shah but it was devastating as her brother tried to kill her with his handgun but she escaped miraculously...
*******

She was standing alone at Samanabad road and her heart was crying, "Where should I go, Father"? She was trying to fight back tears and shock of the terrible thing, which happened to her just a few moments ago. She looked up and down to find a clue of what steps she has to take next. Suddenly she turned and walked toward the bus stop which was one mile away from where she was standing. By the time she reached the bus stop she made up her mind to go to the house of John and Bimla Emmanuel.

John was a gardener with city authorities and he lived with his four children and wife in a small house. Gulshan had been to their home a few times before, and had enjoyed their fellowship. She took a rickshaw and minivan to reach their home. Bimla opened the door and stared at her with surprise and invited her in the house. Gulshan told her of what had happened to her and requested for temporary shelter. Bimla saw that Gulshan was shivering so she embraced her and said, "you are most welcome in our home." When John returned from his work and heard the story of Gulshan, he said with concern, "Don't worry, I am your brother in Christ." House was small and she wondered where she could sleep but they adjusted in that small accommodation. She slept with children in verandah. First night she could not sleep.

She knew that she needed a job very badly as she did not want to be a burden for her host. She went to a school to find job. The head mistress looked at her and asked politely, "Good morning, Madame, do you have your kids here?" Gulshan said, "No, I came here to ask if there is any vacancy of teacher in your school?" Headmistress' polite attitude changed and she asked, "What do you teach?" Gulshan said, "I can teach Urdu, Islamic religious knowledge, History, Geography and Mathematics up to matriculation level. She looked at her sharply and refused to give her a job. Gulshan was desperate and so she stood there for some more time pleading. But there was no favorable response. For the next three weeks she came to the city and approached went to one school after another looking for job but to no avail. John and Bimla assured her for their support but she knew that it would be hard for a person who was getting meager income to support her for one more month. She walked on the streets in very burning heat with a hole in her shoes. She felt desperate and dejected when she could not find a job. Finally she prayed a lot for a job.

On her fourth visit to the unemployment office she found out that a lady reporter was wanted for a weekly magazine which had office in old Anarkali road. She had seen the magazine which included interviews of famous people. It was twenty four pages magazine with pictures of famous people and with colored cover. Her desperation became her boldness. Next day she was at the first floor's office in old Anarkali.

Editor of the magazine received her with a smile and asked, "Why do you want a job?" She said, "I do not have parents and I am educated, I want to earn my living." His next question was, "Why your brothers and sister do not support you so that you need not to work?" She said, "They have all married and settled in their homes and I do not want to be a burden to them." He again spoke and asked, "What other places you tried for work?" Gulshan explained her unsuccessful attempt to get a job in schools as teacher." He was curiously studying her face then he took a quick decision, "Come for work from tomorrow between 8:30 to 9:00 in the morning and don't worry, I will tell you what to ask and how to take interview with people. You have to go to people's home and sometimes schools etc. to take interview."

She thought, "I have much experience of going to people's home." But she did not say anything. The editor further explained to her that she would get basic salary of Rs.100 per month, and twenty percent of the commission she receives from those ladies with whom she will be taking interview. Finally the Editor asked, "You are not a Muslim, aren't you?" She replied, "I am a Christian" and waited for a long agonizing time for him to reply. Finally he put his pen in pocket, stood from his chair and said, "it does not matter as you are educated and have boldness to speak with people."

In that office there were three male reporters, one photographer and a calligrapher. She was the only woman in that office among seven mail employees. But they all treated her with great respect and called her Baji (Sister). She learned everything in four days including the ten stock questions to take interview. News was written in editorial room, checked by editor before it was handed over to calligrapher who wrote in Urdu scripts in large papers. Editor once again checked the work before it went to press. Her job was to assist the editor in checking the news and sometimes she had to go to post office with peon to receive packages.

Her first interview was with the wife of one ex-foreign minister who had resigned from his post because of personal difficulties with the prime minister of Pakistan Mr. Bhutto. The lady received Gulshan very graciously. Gulshan asked her the ten questions one after another. Altaf, the photographer accompanied her who was of great help in her interviews. During the interview, the lady spoke few words in English which Gulshan could not understand (because of her father's strictness toward Islam she was not allowed to study English). But Altaf interpreted it for her quietly and also suggested more questions when Gulshan's mind went blank. When interview was over the lady asked Gulshan about what her education was? She replied, "Just enough to interview you". And the lady laughed.

The article was re-written by editor and appeared with the name Gulshan. Editor did not add the Christian name Esther. For this interview she got Rs.700 from the lady and Gulshan personally got Rs.140 She gave Rs.100 to John and kept Rs.40 for herself. At first they refused taking any money but after much insistence they received. They told her, "We are happy that God is helping you." Gulshan was also happy with her new job. Next time she had to take interview of a headmistress of girl's school. She was very nervous to face a clever woman. But Altaf helped her and told her that she should ask her to explain in detail so that common people may understand her. The interview went good. Three days later she went to collect money. Headmistress was very curious about Gulshan as she was told by one of her staff members who was a Christian about the conversion story of Gulshan. She asked, "Why did you become a Christian, let me help you to come back to Islam." So Gulshan told her story in brief to the headmistress before her staff. She said, "you have a caring attitude and strong faith."

Gulshan found her job easier in consecutive days. She had a strange feeling to think that her words were read by people all over Pakistan. Many a times she thought, "why am I here instead of working for God?" But she laid her thought aside. Her fellow workers knew that she was something different than them. After two weeks of her work in that office they knew that she was a Christian. Very often they teased her saying, "So you believe in three Gods"? But Gulshan tried to explain to them that there is only one God but have three manifestations of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. She also explained that Jesus was not any ordinary prophet but Son of God and that Holy Spirit was sent to indwell with the believers and teach them and make them holy. But Muslim staff could not understand it. Very often the editor came and stopped their teasing saying, "Don't be rude to her as she is the only woman staff in this office."

One day at 4 PM while she was going down to leave her office, the next-door sweet shop owner came and asked her, if she could teach his three children for two hours after her office hours? So it was decided that she would teach them from 4 - 6 PM for Rs.150 per month and evening meals. She started teaching those kids but it cost her to leave John and Bimla's house because it was far away and it will be dark before she reached home. It was not safe for a woman to walk alone at night So she took shelter at in the house of Mr. and Mrs. Neelam's house who lived near by. She knew Mr. Neelam as he was a music teacher in blind school where she worked previously.

Days and months passed by and she wrote eight or nine stories by December which were published as by Gulshan or by our lady staff. On the second week of December, the editor called her in his office and told her, "You are doing better than I thought and I would like you to keep you but only one thing you have to do, leave your Christian faith and return to Islam." He said further, "Now I know your story that why you are a Christian. If your brother will not support you, I will but only give up Christianity." She sat their as a stone. He went on, "I will let you stay in my home... I will increase your salary up to Rs.1, 000 per month... I will make you supervisor over all the reporters. I will take one more lady reporter ... but you should come back to Islam."

She realized that this man may be in contact with Alim Shan and may probably be going to the same club where he went and may they are friends. She remembered the false love which was shown by her brothers previously. She now could realized why he took her as employee though she had no experience. He might have been working patiently for this moment to bring her back in Islam. She sighed and said, "I appreciate your offer and I would like to work with you, but Jesus is my life and I cannot give up Christianity. What I have found in Jesus would not be provided by any religion." Later that day, editor's wife came to meet her. Gulshan felt it was a last attempt by the editor's wife to turn her away from her faith. She asked, "You are a clever woman, but why did you become a Christian?" Gulshan said, "You may never believe what I was and what I am now, God is so real to me." Editor's wife left without a word. Later that day the editor gave her an envelop with Rs.125 in it and said, "I am sorry but you cannot work here anymore. I and my wife will regret your departure and we will always remember you." Gulshan said, "I am sorry too but God will find another job for me." Editor said further, "If you were destitute I would have helped you but the problem of religion would remain." She said, "Don't worry, I will seek the help of God instead of looking toward man." And she left the office.

Other reporters were not happy seeing her go. They told her, "Why are you going just because of a bit of religion. Its ok if Jesus healed you but why don't you give some money to the poor and leave it at that." But she told them that, "Jesus is more to me than that." She shook hands with them and told them that she will pray for them and she left the office. While coming down from stairs, she felt chilled and her head was spinning. Outside of the building she leaned against a wall and cried out to the heavenly father and He answer her, "As thy days, so shall thy strength be. Have not I commanded thee?"
