2 Chr 20:12 "O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You."

King Jehoshaphat was in great trouble as a great army was on the move to fight against him. Someone came and told him that a great multitude was coming against him and his country. Jehoshaphat was greatly frightened and he set himself to seek the Lord. He proclaimed a fast nationwide. He stood before the men, women, and children and prayed the most desperate prayer one could ever pray. His prayer is recorded in 2 Chr. 20:6-12.

Excerpts of his prayer is, "O LORD God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? Are You not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?" Further he prayed, "And now, here are the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir; whom You would not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them and did not destroy them; here they are, rewarding us by coming to throw us out of Your possession which You have given us to inherit. O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You."

The 12th verse shows how desperate he was which made him pray like this. He was in a situation where no human hands could help him nor human wisdom would work. It was beyond his capacity to win that battle. He had no idea what to do except to pray and ask for the divine help of God. Jehoshaphat and the whole nation stood before God, fasted and prayed. And divine help came from God. A prophet prophesied and said, Thus says the LORD to you: 'Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's. Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!' Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you."

Bible tells us that Jehoshaphat and his army did not need to fight with them, but God gave them miraculous victory. There was no possibility of winning the battle, but when they gave their battle in the mighty hands of God, He made that impossible situation a possibility.

Many a times we go through such situations when we do not see any possibilities of victory or possibilities of any solution of the problem. Many a times we think, "now nothing can be done in this matter." Very often we lose our courage and hope, seeing giant problems confronting us. But if we give our battles in the mighty hand of God, He will give us victory and bring about solution to our problems. Are you facing a situation where no human hand or human wisdom could help you. Look to Jesus, He can help you. He can sustain you and give you victory.

God who turns Impossibility to Possibility!

By Sherly Isaac

Mark 10:27, "....With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible."

God of the Bible is a God who makes impossibilities to possibilities. Many a times children of God go through terrible problems and many reach up to a stage where they feel dejected and give up before they could experience a miracle. But if you hang on there, you will see mighty things. Just trust in God until His help comes to you. Don't give up!

My dad was in a very secure job and was in a high position. One day all of a sudden he got order that there is no job from the next day. One other officer who also received similar letter suffered a heart attack and expired right away. We had no idea what to do and where to go. My brother, my sister and I were studying at that time and my mom who was a housewife had never worked in any place. So we were very much worried. We had to leave our Govt. house. At that time the construction of our own house was not yet complete for which we paid advance money. One of my dad's friends told that we can live in his house as long as we had no other alternative.

It was a relief for us that at least we had a home to live. We moved there and lived almost for one and a half years without paying any rent. Meanwhile we received notice from housing board that we should pay the balance amount for the construction of our house with in a time limit. When we saw that letter we were devastated. We knew than that it was not possible for us to take possession of that house. If we are to withdraw the deposited money foregoing ownership of the house we would have lost a heavy amount, as a large percentage of the deposit would have been deducted from it. So my dad went to meet some people who could buy the house and give the money to us so that we may not lose a large amount. We thought that we could purchase a smaller house and move there. But it did not work out.

We had no money and so my mom gave all her jewelry to be sold and to pay the amount. We paid the required amount and waited to get the possession of our house. But it delayed and delayed for one or another reason

By that time we were all filled with Holy Spirit and Holy Spirit led us in complete peace. We left everything in the hands of God because it was beyond our capacity. We could do nothing in that situation. A few weeks later when my dad went to the housing board office (the day was one or two days after the Union Carbide gas tragedy) they somehow decided to start giving possession after the completion report is received from the Engineering department. So dad went to the Engineering Department and it was a miracle that he got completion report which he handed over to the Board office..

We were the first who got the possession letter and we were the first who moved into our house. God made it possible to possess the house though it seemed so impossible. Yes, there is a God who makes impossibilities into possibilities.

When we moved in our home it was the time when the effect of Union Carbide Gas leakage was still present in that area and at that time there was no electric connection and there was no water connection, but still we moved there. The place was not secure as no one had come to live around the locality of our home and also it was not safe as it was gas-affected area. It was evening time when we moved there. With the help of candlelight we made sure that all the doors were locked. Then we knelt down for our family prayer. We sang a song, read a portion from the Bible and we just bowed our heads to pray. We heard a dog barking just behind us. When we turned and looked, we saw a big black dog standing in the hallway and barking. We were shocked and amazed seeing a dog standing inside our house. Soon we realized that our side shutter was wide open and we forgot to close it. That day if the dog had not come inside, we would never have known that the door was open and of course it was too dangerous. It would have cost us our lives. But God saved us and protected us.

You may be in an impossible situation today but there is a God who loves you and cares for you. He wants to protect you and bless your life. If you trust in Him and give your worries into His hands, He will take care of you and in due time you will see blessings of God coming in your life.

Payer and Praise...

I am so happy that God listens to our prayers. God has worked in the heart of the land owner of our church. He has given us time till December end as we were not able to arrange for the rest of the money. Everyone in church is praying with fasting for the same. Please do remember us in your daily prayers. If God really leads you then do give us a helping hand . But more than any financial support I seek your prayer support for this matter.
May God Bless you all.
Your Brother in Christ,
Santosh

Please pray for my peace, patience to Peter and energy to do my works sincerely, and pardon my mistakes.
